What happens when the van visits you?
When the Cafe Van visits your site, it will arrive at the agreed time and park next to the site. We will set up our presentation area and video screen and - most importantly - put the kettle on. We have a good look round the site and are soon ready for action.

Cafe Van presentations |
Each 30 minute presentation looks at environmental issues in construction and relates them to your site and workforce. They either take place in a purpose designed geodesic tent that can be erected in a few seconds or any convenient space on site. A maximum of twelve people participate at any one time to keep the event informal and allow the presenter to give them individual attention.
Using specially written material and a DVD, topics covered include:
- What is sustainable construction
- Types of construction waste
- How to reduce and manage waste
- Site Waste Management Plans
- Carbon balance
- Changing environmental Legislation.
Attendance at all three presentations leads to the award of a certificate of environmental awareness.
